Octavia’s Winter 2018 Anime Watchlist

Posted March 19, 2018 by Octavia in Random Ramblings / 2 Comments

I am so darn pumped for this season of anime! If you don’t follow anime closely that’s cool. I’m going to link each show to it’s respective Anime Planet page. Quick disclaimer! Anime Planet is my JAM!

Not only is it visually appealing (unlike some other sites) it’s crazy extensive! So when I link a show to it’s page poke around! There are places for recommendations, manga list, shows by topic, shows by genre, shows by specific voice actors! It’s really cool. But enough gushing! On to the shows!!!

Now, originally I drafted this post before the Winter 2018 season started but blogging wasn’t in my heart so I shelved it. BUT NOW I AM BACK AND I AM READY FOR THIS! Honestly I haven’t even started this season of anime because I’ve been on a nonstop KPop kick (any ARMY/iGOT7/Monbebe out there???) but I’ve watched all the videos I can at this point so seems like Anime would be a good place to direct my obsessive personality. So what anime am I about to jump into?

From Day One, happy-go-lucky Yuzu makes enemies, namely the beautiful yet stern Student Council President Mei. So what happens when a dejected Yuzu returns home and discovers the shock of her life: that Mei is actually her new step-sister who has come to live with her? Even more surprising, when Mei catches Yuzu off-guard and kisses her out of the blue, what does it all mean?

Since the ancient times, the Kannagi priestesses have used their swords, or Okatana, to exorcise the creatures known as Aratama that brought chaos upon the world of man. These maidens were known as Tojis. They are a special task force within the police. They are allowed to have their Okatana on their person because they are government officials, but they mostly consist of middle school and high school girls who go to one of five training schools throughout the country. Though they mostly live normal school lives, if they are given a mission, they take their Okatana and unleash their powers, fighting to protect the people. This spring, the top Tojis from five schools across the country have been gathered for a customary tournament where they will use their abilities and fight for the top position. As the many Tojis trained and prepared for the upcoming tournament, there was one girl who was even more determined than the others on improving her swordsmanship. What lies before the end of her Okatana?

All the hours he’s spent grinding and dungeon crawling have certainly paid off, and as he tests his strength on local rogues and legendary beasts he comes to realize that not one opponent can stand against his might. Embracing his new identity as the fearsome mage Ainz Ooal Gown, Momonga continues his search for bigger, badder adversaries. Auto Memories Doll. It’s been quite a while since that name caused a fuss. Originally invented by Professor Orland solely for his beloved wife, Auto Memories Dolls eventually spread out into the world, and a machine that allows people to rent out the dolls was also created. “I will run as fast as I can to wherever my customer desires. I am the Auto Memories Doll, Violet Evergarden.” A girl who almost appears to have popped out of a fairy tale with her blonde hair and blue eyes said this with her inorganic beauty and sweet voice.
