The Baby It’s Cold Outside Read-a-Thon!

A few months ago Octavia and I were reminiscing about the Summer Lovin’ Read-a-Thon we met through waaaaaaaay back in the summer of 2013 and realized we absolutely needed to host a winter themed one and thus the Baby It’s Cold Outside read-a-thon was born.

We’ve got a fun week of mini-challenges and giveaways planned for you and we’re hoping you’ll joining us as we try to push through end of the year TBRs and meet those reading challenges we so optimistically (and foolishly) set at the beginning of the devil’s year of 2016.

~Below you’ll find the schedule we’ve planned and the sign up form!~

Day 1 (December 17th) – Write your intro post! Share your TBR goals and most importantly, join us for an introductory Twitter chat using the hashtag #BICOthon at 8 p.m. EST!

Day 2 (December 18th) – Participate in the first challenges (teaser tidbits and the page 99 test)

Day 3 (December 19th) – Post a reading progress update if you’d like to, and make sure to check out our post over here to enter the Guess the Cover challenge!

Day 4 (December 20th) – Write a post sharing your favorite winter reads, or recent winter releases you’re looking forward to reading!

Day 5 (December 21st) – Let’s try some book spine poetry. Who doesn’t love a book spine poem? For it to count towards the giveaway we’re requiring that it be winter themed without reference to any holiday.

Day 6 (December 22nd) – Post a reading progress update if you’d like to, and check out our post over here to enter the title scramble challenge!

Day 7 (December 23rd) – The bingo challenge! Okay. I totally completely stole the bingo thing from my beloved Bekka at Pretty Deadly Blog who hosts a new Bookish Bingo every season. Just mark off as many squares as you can during the read-a-thon and get an entry into the giveaway for each bingo you complete! Also did you know there are bingo games you can download for your smart phone and they are a lot of fun and take up hours of my time?

Day 8 (December 24th) – Wrap up time! What books did you read? Did you meet your goal?
