After a decade of serving in the Army, everyone still expects me to be Dominic 'Nicky' Costigan--the skirt-chasing player. They don't know I've been spending my days trying to figure out my post-military life. Including how to pick up guys.

When I meet Luke on a hookup app, he makes it clear it's for one-night only. That's fine with me, because I'm down to see what this silver fox can do. But after I arrive at his doorstep, it doesn't take long to realize we have serious chemistry, and we end up meeting again.

He's got more walls around his heart than a military base, but I think he's as addicted to me as I am to him. He can't resist me for long. I mean, who can? Except Luke's rules exist for a reason, and when I test his limits, things get complicated. Maybe too complicated.

*FAST CONNECTION is a standalone, full-length romance novel with no cliffhanger*

I received a copy of this novel for review, this does not influence my thoughts on this book or this review.

I loved Strong Signal, the first book in this companion series so when I got my hands on Fast Connection, I was so excited! I’m happy to report that Fast Connection is indeed a swoony & steamy romance just as I expected. Perhaps it’s a bit better than Strong Signal, only because the characters from SS appear in Fast Connection.

Dominic (a.k.a Nicky to his family) is back from deployment and is still adjusting. Trying to figure out his future is difficult, and so is learning how to pick up guys. Luke is a divorced dad not looking for anything serious, just something tension relief when his kids are away on weekends. When Dominic and Luke meet on a hookup app, there’s some real chemistry between them. What starts off as casual hookups may be turning into something real, but there are some complications. Okay, a lot of them.

I was worried about reading from Dominic’s POV, as he was a bit of a jerk in Strong Signal but in Fast Connection, we see a different side to him that I really liked. He still has the same snark and voice, but it’s easier to relate to him as events in the last book that caused him to be a jerk were explained. I also loved Luke’s POV, and I really enjoyed that their POVs were distinct and clear.

I loved the tone of Fast Connection, while there was some drama and complications, there were also really funny moments which are the authors’ specialty. I also loved how fast-paced the novel was, I breezed through it.

Overall, Fast Connection was an amazing romance that I highly recommend. While it is part of a companion series, you don’t need the first one to read this book. BUT, I do recommend you read both because they are both amazing.

  1. I LOVED the first one, so I’m so excited for this Fast Connection and I’m happy to hear that you really loved it! Dominic warmed on me a bit near the end, so I am excited to read from his point of view. I like that he’s still a bit snarky yet you don’t hate him. hah
