Stop & Chat ~ Dual Reviews ~

stop and chat

Welcome back to Stop & Chat my lovelies! Today I wanted to get your opinion on something Shelly and I have thrown around for a while and I’m kind of lost on how to implement.

Dual Reviews

Lucy Gasp

Sometimes, on rare and weird occasions, Shelly and I read the same book around the same time and instead of having two reviews for the same book go live around the same time, we “want” to just do a dual review. BUT HOW!? I’ve never done a dual review or read one for that matter so how is this done?! Does interview style work best? Q&A? Two reviews on one post? Maybe a video chat? The possibilities are endless and I AM CONFUSED!

Have you ever read a dual review you absolutely loved? What did you like about it? How did they show both point of views? Or did you hate it? Hate is fine too because it tells us what NOT to do. What didn’t you like?

SHARE ALL OF YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ME!!!!

  1. This is an interesting concept. I don’t think I’ve ever read a dual review, but I’d be interested to read one for sure. I had actually thought about doing something similar. I have a friend who lives in CT, me in MA, and I send her books that I’ve loved all the time, so we end up reading a lot of the same books. What I would do is put two reviews in one and then maybe do a Q&A at the end of the post. In either video form or text. It’d be a long post, for sure, but it would be interesting to see what you bought thought of the same book.

    Happy Saturday, Octavia and Shelly!

  2. I like reading dual reviews! Most people I know that do that have two ways of doing it. The first is that they each give their thoughts on each aspect of the story, responding to the points the other made. The second one is the discussion review, which I also like. 🙂 I did my first dual review last week with my co-blogger and it was fun!
