The Others freed the  cassandra sangue  to protect the blood prophets from exploitation, not realizing their actions would have dire consequences. Now the fragile seers are in greater danger than ever before—both from their own weaknesses and from those who seek to control their divinations for wicked purposes. In desperate need of answers, Simon Wolfgard, a shape-shifter leader among the Others, has no choice but to enlist blood prophet Meg Corbyn’s help, regardless of the risks she faces by aiding him.

Meg is still deep in the throes of her addiction to the euphoria she feels when she cuts and speaks prophecy. She knows each slice of her blade tempts death. But Others and humans alike need answers, and her visions may be Simon’s only hope of ending the conflict.

For the shadows of war are deepening across the Atlantik, and the prejudice of a fanatic faction is threatening to bring the battle right to Meg and Simon’s doorstep…

~Spoiler-free for the entire series~

I received an eARC from the publisher for review. This does not affect the contents of this review.

First and foremost, I should probably mention some bias. I absolutely LOVE this series. And I probably can’t review it fairly, even if I wanted to. When I received the email approving my request to read Vision in Silver from Edelweiss, I swear I jumped up and down. I should probably be judging my choices, but honestly, I can’t even if I wanted to. THIS BOOK IS THAT GOOD.

For those who haven’t read the first two books, I will keep this fairly spoiler-free. Basically, this book/series takes place in a world where the terra indigene rule. This race can change between human and their natural human forms, which can include the following: Bear, Wolf, Fox, Coyote, Crow, etc. But that’s not all! There are also vampires, and Elementals- creatures that can control the elements. Basically, the world is one scary place for humans. Meg, our main character, comes from a race where just a simple cut will lead her to tell prophecies. By cutting her skin, she can reveal prophecies, but not without danger.

Interested yet? THE ANSWER SHOULD BE YES.

In the first two books, PLENTY OF THINGS HAPPENED and I will not say what those things are but if you’ve read the series, you will be glad to know that this one picks up where the last one ended. As with the last books, Vision in Silver has fantastic world-building, and amazing character development.  (And the romance is just superb, SUPERB I TELL YOU).

Overall, I absolutely LOVED Vision in Silver. It was a superb sequel to The Others series and if you haven’t read this series yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!
