On Creativity + Personal Posts

One of my resolutions this year was to write more personal posts. And I am the type of person who starts on my resolutions immediately.

I followed a bunch of authors/literary agents/publishers/editors on Twitter.
I caught up on my reviews and returned my library books in favour of personal books.
I made a spreadsheet to keep track of my book buying/borrowing.
I started editing my NaNo project from last year and resolved to finish editing it by the end of January (okay mid-February).
I am exclusively wearing pants with pockets to carry a pen with me everywhere.

But I haven’t written a single personal post.

Or any creative post, for that matter.

I want to write more unique posts here, but I have no ideas. And I want to have ideas. I want to find ways to mention how I got an awesome new laptop that I love (Macbook Pro, I HAVE JOINED THE DARK SIDE). And I want to mention how my managers at my part-time job (at my library) finally hired me permanently instead of  a contract position and how excited I am to continue my work there. I want to mention how I’m starting school again this year and how my semester is almost over and then I have one semester left of school. I want to talk about the awesome TV shows I’m watching and how I just caught up on Arrow and WHY WOULD YOU GUYS DO THIS TO ME. And I want to talk about the music I’ve been listening to. And I want to talk about how stressed I am about school and life and work and EVERYTHING even though I feel so happy. I want to talk about how random I feel.

I want to make this blog more personal, and find ways to discuss my personal life. But I’m not sure how. I want you guys to know more about me, and I want to know more about all of you.

But how do I do that?

How do I make my posts creative, interactive and fun to read?

I guess what I’m saying is that I have no idea what I’m doing when I say I want to write personal posts, but what I know is that I want to share more with you guys, and I want to write what I want when I want.
