The New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player starts a brand new story of friends, love, and lust with Book One of the Wild Seasons series.One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play. When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

It’s official! There isn’t a book these ladies can come out with that I won’t love! I’m a HIGE Beautiful Bastard (the entire series!) fan and when I saw that this dynamic duo was getting together for a new series obviously I did what any normal person would.

Then the day came that Sweet Filthy Boy came out. I said I wasn’t going to buy any more books, I believed this with all my heart but I couldn’t pass it up! But when I went to B&N they were out of stock! The nerve of those people asking if I wanted to “order a copy that would be in within 2 days”! How dare they! So I took my sorry tush home, and bought a copy from iBooks. I know you didn’t think I was just going to cave that easy!

I was supposed to read “2-3 chapters” before bed. TWO to THREE CHAPTERS before bed. Is this what I told myself? Yes. Is this what I swore to? Yes. Is this what I did?

I couldn’t stop! I started it and this funny yet adorable story just pulled me in and I couldn’t stop! I loved reading about this whirlwind wedding and romance that Mia and Ansel had going on. I find it amazing yet awe inspiring that Christina and Lauren can take plots we’ve all heard before and turn them into new stories for us. We’ve all heard of the people who get drunk and run into a Vegas style wedding and wake up to remember none of it. We all have read the story where they KNOW they should get it annulled but they don’t. We all know the story of these two trying to make it work anyway and failing miserably. But this isn’t that story! The elements may be the same but these ladies have a gift at turning what you “know” into a totally new and enhanced experience. I know this is short for an “Octavia Review” but there isn’t anything about the story I can tell you that won’t make you roll your eyes and go “been there done that”. But I think we’ve known each other long enough where you can trust me on this one. The characters are amazing and make me feel all warm and fuzzy, the plot is funny but also absolutely “awww” inducing. And the sexy times scenes will totally make you hot around the collar. All in all this is a solid 4.5 star book and I am impatiently waiting on the sequel!
