Hello again my lovelies! Welcome to my BEA Recap for DAY TWO!!!! We discussed day one and all the AWESOMENESS and craziness involved with it and to be honest day two was marginally better. I understood what was going on, I was excited to see my new friends again, and I finally knew how to survive the run of the ARC’s without being trampled or missing out on books.
For most people day two was a day of hectic schedules and even longer lines (if that’s possible!) because day two had the most signings and drops happens all at the same time! Seriously. Day Two was basically:
9:00am– HarperCollins & MacMillan galley drop
9:30–Becca Fitzpatrick Black Ice Signing
10:00am– Marie Lu The Young Elites (sampler) signing
10:00am— Galley Drop (Little Brown I think)
11:00am Sarah J. Maas HEIR OF FIRE signing
11:30am Ryan Graudin The Walled City signing
2:30pm Holly Black The Darkest Part of the Forest signing
And you have to remember that these lines started HOURS before the signing. People were in the Heir of Fire line at 9:00am. Forget the drops and other signings! A ton of people seriously ran right to sit on the floor in front of Maas’s autographing area for 2 hours before the signing started. Luckily for Nikki and I we had a front of the line pass (more on this gem on my “So You Want To Go To BEA” post) so we made it to the drops, Black Ice and Heir of Fire signing without even a tiny bit of worry. Then I formed the “not line” for the Holly Black signing promptly at 12:00pm. Yeah not a typo, I was in “line” a full 2 and a half hours early and I regret nothing.
After fangirling over Holly Black (I was convinced they were going to call security) Nikki and I made our way down to the baggage check area (more on this later) to drop our first load of books. And on our way back we ran into Anita. Who’s Anita you ask? Oh just this FAN-FREAKING-TABULOUS author you may know as A.G. Howard!!!!! Not only did we both squeal like girls at a One Direction concert Anita was ridiculous nice! We took pics, fangirled and got a signed poster of the Ensnared cover poster! I’m not Team Jeb by a long shot but it’s so pretty!!!!! This honestly made my top 3 moments of BEA.
Another top 3 moment from day two was meeting my amazing co-blogger Shelly at the blogger picnic!
Even though Nikki and I made it there late (took the wrong subway…all part of the adventure!) we actually had a pretty good time with everyone! And there was CAKE BOSS CAKE! I love that show and even though I always say their cakes look pretty I wasn’t prepared for how great it would taste! One layer of chocolate, a layer of strawberries and one layer of white cake topped by yummy icing?! YES PLEASE!!!
Sadly we left the picnic early because of RAIN. 🙁 But while we were there I really did enjoy meeting so many other bloggers and shoving my business cards at them. O__O I would say sorry guys but those things cost me 50 bucks! Of course I’m going to pass all of them out!
Day two wrapped up with dinner at a food cart near Central Park with Shelly, her dad and of course Nikki.
And then off to bed since we had to get up at 4am to brave the horror that was BookCon. *insert horror movie scream* I’m going to leave the whole “I went to BookCon” post to Shelly since I think she’ll be able to give a more unbiased opinion than myself. I’ll still include what I did during day three it just won’t be as many details lol! But enough of that! On to the books I lucked up on during day two!
Again, any books not personalized to me specifically will be given away at one point or another.
