A bombshell bookworm. A chronic Casanova. And a lesson in chemistry too scandalous for school.

When Hanna Bergstrom receives a lecture from her overprotective brother about neglecting her social life and burying herself in grad school, she’s determined to tackle his implied assignment: get out, make friends, start dating. And who better to turn her into the sultry siren every man wants than her brother’s gorgeous best friend, Will Sumner, venture capitalist and unapologetic playboy?

Will takes risks for a living, but he’s skeptical about this challenge of Hanna’s…until the wild night his innocently seductive pupil tempts him into bed- and teaches him a thing or two about being with a woman he can’t forget. Now that Hanna’s discovered the power of her own sex appeal, it’s up to Will to prove he’s the only man she’ll ever need.

I love this series! Like I SERIOUSLY LOVE THIS SERIES guys!

From book one (Beautiful Bastard) I declared this series my “guilty pleasure” and today I’m saying fuck that term six ways from Sunday! I’ve found a series in a genre that most people look down their nose at and I LOVE IT! And there is absolutely no reason to feel “guilty” about that.

Christina Lauren (since it’s 2 authors gotta give dual credit!) has given me a group of characters I’ve laughed at, groaned at and have rooted for, and I think that’s really rare in series. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen ever but more times than not I find myself losing interest in a series half way through because the characters annoy me or the story seems overly done or something. While the Beautiful Bastard series does have a reoccurring theme I can honestly say that each story is different. Each story has it’s on hurdles and trumps and every character has it’s own identity.

Beautiful Player tied my favorite book out the series, not because it’s the same as the others but because it was so different! Here we have Will being the love sick interest! The male of the story! Oh flipping happy day it’s nice to finally see an author (authors?) realize that women don’t always have to be the first one to think and feel the L word! No that it was hard to see why Will had fallen so hard for Hana. She was pretty (not trip over your feet gorgeous but believably pretty!), ridiculously smart and she was straight forward. When Hana felt a certain way or had a question or just when she had random thoughts, they immediately passed her lips. She was so different from the type of head strong we see in other adult fiction books because even though she could hold her own it was no big deal to her. She didn’t go on this power trip of “I am mighty woman who does not need man to help meet me goals! Hear me roar and prove I’m just as good as he!”

There are so many other things I loved about this book but to be honest I’ll probably just wind up rambling for 2 more paragraphs and you’ll just look at me like I’m crazy. O__O So yeah…..book was great, characters were great, sex was FAN-TASTIC and even though I’m sad the series is over I’m happy I was along for each story!
