Organize Your Blog! Pt. 1 and my Top Secret Project REVEALED!

Posted December 1, 2013 by Octavia in Features & Spotlights / 0 Comments

If you follow me on twitter you have probably been a witness to my constant “#FeelingProductive” tweets. You know, the ones were I toot my horn about having all my meme’s and discussions for the upcoming month scheduled and reviews in my bank? Well I’ve been getting a lot of questions about organizing tips and all month I’m going to take you into my organizing do’s and don’ts. Today I just want to focus on the tools you may want to look into and I also want to reveal that “secret project” I’ve been yammering about. This is the part where I squeal like a little girl!

Introducing, something I hope will only enhance your blogging experience….

And finally, but most important in my eyes, an ARC tracker!

Ultimately I would love to have these printed and shipped to you in book format but since that cost about 1400 (color ink is EXPENSIVE) dollars I don’t see that happening any time soon. With that said, I will offer the inside of the planner for downloading via this link. For the entire month of December the planner will be 50% off! I’m also still working on a variety of designs but until I see if folks really dig this I’m only offering the cool rainbow prism one.

Moving on to this week’s tips!

When I organize my blog I go all out. I’m not a huge fan of digital calendars so I have my fabulous desk sized family calendar, that has two spots dedicated to Read. Sleep. Repeat. Sadly I’ve been booted out of the office and my desk sized calendar is too big to go anywhere else. 🙁 So I’ll probably switch to just the OBBP for a while.

I also use mechanical pencils, since life happens and things change. I don’t want to yuck up my pretty calendar with crossed out words and icky white out!

The last thing I use is a highlighter. JUST ONE. I love to color code stuff like the rest of you but trust me on this one. One highlighter is gold and I’ll explain why when we discuss schedules next week.

And that’s it. That’s all you need to get the ball rolling on your organization overhaul!

  1. A desk calendar and/or the Official Book Blogger Planner
  2. Mechanical (or regular) pencils
  3. One highlighter

But of course everything listed above is OPTIONAL! The first rule of organizing YOUR blog is “find what works for you”. We all have different kinks and twist, and I know that what I do may not be exactly what you do, but I hope it will at least get you on the right road. Regardless of if that road leads you to scheduling one week in advance or 3 weeks in advance or 3 months in advance. I just want to give you the kick in the butt needed to get you started.

So, keep all this lovely info in mind, because next week we are getting down to business!
