This week marks the last Stop & Chat Blogoversary edition. It’s been fun and I’m so happy I was able to take you guys along for the ride.

What Make Me Keep It Up?

This is a question I get every time I tell someone I blog. “Why would you do that? You’ve been doing it for how long? Why?!” And every time I’m that much closer to grabbing a step-stool and punching someone in the throat.

KHart Say somethn else

I know that’s a fairly violent reply but it’s SO ANNOYING! Not to mention rude. I mean when you tell me you collect Beanie Babies I don’t look at you with the

Crazy Bitch

face! I smile politely and then I change the subject. But as soon as I tell someone I run a (somewhat successful) book blog I’m always asked why. To be honest I just tell them I do it because I love it, and I walk away. And that’s the truth. Or at least a piece of it.

You see, I do love book blogging. I love sharing my rants with people.  And I especially love hearing what other people have to say about my rants, but it’s so much more than that. I enjoy having something that’s MINE. Something I don’t have to share, or compromise. It’s just mine. That sounds selfish but if you have kids you’ll understand.

Then of course you have my friends. Chrys, Crystal, Jessi, Julie, Ashley, Jessica(s), Kristen, Stephanie and so many other people who I just ADORE!

I love you

Seriously. I know it’s super cheesy but my friends seriously make all the icky stuff worth it. And in an effort to not ruin my “tough as nails” image I’m going to end this post with a gif, and disappear into the shadows.

  1. Clearly, to each their own. But it seems that people need to scoff at other people’s hobbies and likes, when sometimes theirs can be equally bad! Having a blog about books is bad and why would you do that? What’s so good about watching reality shows? Or being so passionate about a sport and a team that aren’t making any difference about your life? 😉

  3. As I’m sure you know, blogging is a lot of work. It takes up a lot of my time, as I am sure it does yours. But despite the work, and the sometimes stress, and the sometimes feeling like I don’t give the rest of my life enough attention, it makes me happy and I want to keep doing it. I love sharing my thoughts on books with others. I love having this corner of the blogosphere that is mine (and Ashley’s) to connect with other readers. Reading is a really important to me and I’m glad I’ve found a hobby that builds on that. And it gives me an excuse to spend so much time reading ;).

  4. The ownership blogging gives me is so thrilling. I can do things absolutely my way! I hate when people give me that face when I tell them about my blog. Everyone has their own quirks. People even collect used condoms. I know. Eww.

So glad to have a friend like you via blogging too. 😀 *big hug*

  5. Dawww I love you darling! <3333

I haven't had anyone ask me why, thankfully. I don't really talk much to non-bookish people about it though, because I feel like they wouldn't understand! My parents know, and they think it's cool, and there's a very small handful of real life friends that know but either think it's cool too, or haven't said their true opinion baha.
I'm like you, I love that the space is MINE to do whatever the f*ck I want with (okay, I went a little Bam there ;D) and no one can tell me what to do or what to change!
