Ah, it’s been a hell of a journey guys and I can’t tell you how proud and happy I am with how ARC August turned out. Now I know we have one more day left in August but my last day of August will be spent at a book festival. So it only makes sense to do this post now!

So let’s check some facts real quick!

I announced ARC August back on June 30th, and honestly thought only 5 or 10 people would sign up. WRONG Octavia WRONG!

87 people signed up!! Beats the hell out my “5 or 10” guess!

I wanted to read 20 books! Remember that “plan”?

Β I even made a spreadsheet showing how horrible I am when it comes to keeping up with my ARC’s!

So how did I do with my goal??

I FAILED!!!!

Β

But I’m still pretty proud! I finished 7 ARC’s, 1 non-ARC and made 2 DNF calls! I know I didn’t reach my goal, and yeah I was a longs ways off from it but I tackled 8 books this month! That’s reason to celebrate right? Right!

And for a full list of the ARC’s I read during ARC August check out my pinterest board!Β bluedots

I also was lucky enough to visit each and everyone of your blogs, and I even grabbed a few new friends. So to all 87 of you lovely (and possibly insane) participants,

  1. Fantastic for your ARC reading and reviews completed! def NOT a fail from this girl’s POV !
I am amazed to have completed what I did too, despite some major and invaluable interruptions! we just can’t anticipate life’s next steps! πŸ˜‰

    Checking my goodreads August reads,
looks like 5 ARCs completed for me at this point [still 1 day right?!]
    + 1 1/2 audio books
+ 5 TBR books now read + removed frm the stack !

I missed the #ARCAugust interactions we began with, but sitting in justice meetings wasn’t exactly the place to keep that going πŸ˜‰ unfortunately! I did miss that for sure.
But glad you posted this for a catchup opp before month end & will def look fwd to more reading hosted by the lovely Octavia!! Thank you =)

  3. So you didn’t reach your goal but you made good progress! I read NO ARC’s this month and now, I’ve realized that one comes out on the third of September. Ack, it’s speed reading time!

But as for you, go celebrate and relaaaax. You deserve it!

  4. You still did good, 20 was pretty damn ambitious! I barely made my goal of 5 and only read 2 of the ones I originally wanted to. Oh well, hopefully I can keep the momentum up in October.
