ARC August Update #4

August 27, 2013 Challenges 11

Happy Tuesday my fellow ARC August peeps! Yes, I know this post is a couple days late but, Sunday was just not a good day! Anywho I have a few ARC August things I’m super excited to share with you lovelies!! Including:

That’s right! I finally discovered the awesomeness that is Pinterest and so I created a ARC August board. Yes I know it’s a bit late but, look at the pretty! And I can use it again next year…if pinterest is still a thing.

Also, since this is our last week together as ARC August participants I’m throwing one final hurrah via a twitter chat!

ready to part-eeeey

This twitter chat will be on Friday this time since Saturday I’m going to the Decatur Book Festival! The chat will start at 8pmEST (EDT? I don’t ย know which one is righter. Righter? Whatevs!) and it’ll last till 9PM EST/EDT/Whatever the hell my time zone is, just like last time. Dont’ forget to use the #ARCAugust hastag and if you missed it last time may I suggest Tweetdeck for the chat? It’s pretty awesome, in it’s simplicity. As always if you need help ask me and I’ll do my best to figure it out. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now on to the books I finished!

White Trash Beautiful

1.5 out of 5 stars

Review is live as of YESTERDAY!

The Bookstore HR

Sadly this was a DNF. The MC was extremely flat and the writing really bugged me.

And of course, the books I hope to vanquish by 11:59pm (EST/EDT?) this Saturday:

Ten Tiny Breathsย Trueย Scorched Crown of Midnight HB

So that’s all the updating I have for one week! Don’t forget to link, tweet, and share your progress with me!

You are doing great! I hope to get through Ten Tiny Breaths before the week is out myself. But that is all I will probably get through till the end. (Work is really taking up a lot more of my time than I originally anticipated)

But I am really proud that I have made it through 6 books so far through ARC August, my normal month I only average 3-4. So Yay me!!

Of course, my eyes are about ready to burn out of my head because I chose to read all of my eARCs for this challenge. I am so ready to jump into a paperback I can’t stand it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Can’t wait for the twitter party, I hope I remember to jump on on Friday night.

Thanks! I’m busting tail to read as much as I can, although I had to put Ten Tiny Breaths down after a few chapters. I usually make it through 2 or 3 books in a month so I’m pretty proud AND others are doing so well that I’m seriously not even bothered by not hitting my goal. ๐Ÿ™‚

Most of my ARC’s are ebooks so I threw in a few “non-ARCs” to balance out the eye soreness I knew would come lol! Hopefully I’ll see you at the chat tonight!

Ha! I used to think that too. Typically the books are different genres (non-fiction, historical, contemporary) so they’re not that similar. But most of the time, I mix them up if I’m having a hard time getting into a book. If I can find something to get me over a “slump” I can usually go back to other books and enjoy them more. To each his (or her!) own, I suppose. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ugh The Bookstore was unbearably flat! Which is weird since it’s a topic that should have provoked some pretty intense and varying emotions. If you decide to grab it I wish you all the luck.
