Day 4 of Summer Lovin’

July 4, 2013 Challenges 13

It’s day 4 of the Summer Lovin’ Read-A-Thon and the fun is still going!

Today’s participation post is all about our feels!

Share a quote from your current read or
Share a book that really pulled on your heart strings

This was actually really hard for me just because I usually don’t get all mushy or sentimental over books. In fact I make it a mission to steer clear of mushy or “too” serious books. BUT! Last week I read a book that legitimately made me cry. And it was so fantastic I will not pick a quote, I’ll just demand that you go out and buy it…like now!

Eleanor & Park

“Bono met his wife in high school,” Park says.
“So did Jerry Lee Lewis,” Eleanor answers.

“I’m not kidding,” he says.
“You should be,” she says, “we’re sixteen.”
“What about Romeo and Juliet?”
“Shallow, confused, then dead.”
”I love you,” Park says.
“Wherefore art thou,” Eleanor answers.
“I’m not kidding,” he says.
“You should be.”

Set over the course of one school year in 1986, ELEANOR AND PARK is the story of two star-crossed misfits – smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you’ll remember your own first love – and just how hard it pulled you under.

Yeah so go buy that please, and if your on the fence check out my review here!

Now…on to today’s challenge!!

So I’ve been a bit sick so I haven’t had the chance to do a new book spine poem. BUT! I did do one for a different read-a-thon a while back and I’ll just recycle that!

Spine PoemOn a Wicked Night
Our Warm Bodies
Our Spark undeniable
We Abandon
For Infinite Days
In a Darkfever
Bound by Shadow
Dark Kiss
Sweet Evil
Last Kiss Goodnight

Not bad right?? Don’t forget to stop by Oh Chrys! to link up yours!
