So guess what lucky blogger is being featured on this weeks Feature & Follow?!

ME!!!!

I’m really excited and happy to be featured this week and I want to send my one-millionth THANK YOU! to Feature & Follows host Rachel of Parajunkee and Alison of Alison Can Read!!

And here is my fantastical interview!

When did you start blogging?

I actually started blogging November of last year, so I’m still pretty wet behind the ears.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

I’m going to cheat here and say my two favorite things!

1. Is all the bookish people I’ve met who’ve become great friends of mines.

2. Is seeing how my reading taste has changed now that my focus has shifted for my reviews.

What type of books do you mainly blog about?

So far I mostly do post about YA books, but next week I’m going to start my “Reading After Dark” post which will feature PNR, Romance, NA…the steamy stuf!

What is your favorite book(s)?

Today my favorite books are:

Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Onced Burned by Jeaniene Frost

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

The best thing by a landslide is my friends! I’ve finally met people who understand my bookish jargon and who (instead of yelling SHUT UP!) gush and rant with me! But they aren’t just bookish friends, they are the sweetest, funniest, bestest friends I could ask for. And I adore them! (hint hint Chrys, Meagan, Shannon, Nancy, Kelly, Tamara, Stephanie)

So…..I’m Octavia and I love snicker doodles!

lightpinkdots

So this week I goofed and did the activity for next week….O_O….don’t you dare judge me! But now that I’m up and many of you have had a good laugh how about I do the right post?

Q. Have you broken up with a series? If so why?

There are so many series I’ve started and have hurt my brain to the point of not reading the next. Including:

The Selection Reflected in You  Unspoken

Ashes Blue Bloods Partials

These are just the series that I broke up with that I expected more out of. I wanted to love each of these I swear I did but stuff happens right?

Thanks you so much for stopping by don’t forget to link up you F&F below!

  3. Thanks! My mom use to pick on me and say all I do is “read, sleep, and then repeat it” so this is my little “ha ha ha” moment. 😉

And thanks! That poem took way longer than I’m willing to admit! O_O

  4. Congrats on being featured!
I first learned about book spine poetry on the site of a our local bookstore. It sounds fun! Yours was really good too! I should try it sometime. 😀

  5. It was a lot of fun! Time consuming and a little hard for me, but so much fun! If you decide to do one for next weeks F&F let me know! I’d love to see what you came up with. 🙂

  6. Congratz on the feature! 😀
You got some good taste in books. Anna Dressed in Blood is awesome! (I’ll be giving away a signed copy of the sequel some time this month) And I can’t even begin to describe how great Shadow and Bone is.

Oh the poem thing was for next week? xD This week is a question.

  8. Congrats on being featured this week! I think the spine poetry is for next week, though… It is a great poem! And very elegant the way you did it 🙂

  9. Congrats on the feature! I loved Once Burned too! I’m actually about to start Twice Tempted this weekend. I liked your book spine poetry too. I need to look through my books and make one…it will probably take me hours to do!

  10. It took me FOREVER to come up with this one! But it was a lot of fun so no regrets lol.

I have Twice Tempted but I haven’t had a second to read it! 🙁 Soon, maybe? It would be a nice After Dark review……*thinking*

  11. AH! You were featured this week! That is so cool, Octavia! So happy for you. You will have a lot of new visitors! YAY! And yes, so glad to have met you as a friend. And now we are more than friends. Wink wink. Wink wink. Wink wink.
    Lol!

  12. Your winks show the words you dare not speak my love! And yeah it’s weird having so many comments on one post! Not sure if I should freak out and hide under my bed or freak out and dance down my street….decisions, decisions. 😉

  13. Congrats on being featured. Be prepared for a crazy day. There are several books on that list that I was planning to read, but maybe I should hold off! New follower.

  14. Thanks! This has been an awesome experience!

And don’t put them off because of me! Most people really love these books! I just so happen to be a bit strange. 😉

  15. Hi! I’m a relatively new blogger as well (October)…What a great community, Huh? New follower via twitter, Facebook, and email! Please follow be back: My FF
By the way, have your read Siege & Storm yet? A-MAZ-ING!

  16. Thanks for dropping by, and don’t you just love all these bookish people?!

I haven’t read Siege & Storm YET! I must have more of the Darkling soon though!

  17. Congrats on being featured 🙂 Oh wow, I clicked on this to comment and it looks like your post has changed from the spine poetry to your abandoned series. Haha! But hey, if that IS the activity for next week I’m glad to know so I can start working on it (I’ve always wondered if they tell people in advance like in other memes but I’ve never seen anything…). I haven’t read any of these series except Blue Bloods, and even that I only read the second book (didn’t realize it was part of a series) and then didn’t feel bothered to read the rest. Anyways, old follower via Bloglovin!

  19. mwahaha! My brain was beyond sleep when I did my 1st post lol! I wish you luck with your book spine poetry for next week though. It was a lot of fun making it, but I’m horrible at poems so it took me FOREVER! 🙂

  20. Did you quite them all because they were bad? I’ve not started any of them… perhaps I won’t. 😉

Congrats on your feature! New follower on bloglovin’. 🙂

  21. The only one’s that were just full on bad are The Selection, Ashes, Reflected in You and Unspoken. I just wanted more from Partials and Blue Bloods and I don’t see that happening with the next books in the series. 🙁

  22. I saw that activity you did on book spine poetry, and though it was the wrong one, I thought it was pretty clever! Congratulations! At least you don’t have to worry about next week’s entry anymore. HAHA! I liked The Selection well enough, though at some point it kind of got ridiculous. The Bachelor meets Hunger Games… well, why not! Though it could’ve been better. Blue Bloods was the one I couldn’t bring myself to continue. I wanted to feature it, though I completely forgot what it was about!

I’m a new follower. Your blog is very prettyyy 🙂

  23. Mwhaha! Yeah I made an opps with this week’s post lol! But way to look on the bright side about next week. 🙂

I really wanted to love The Selection but it was horrible! So much angst! -_-

And thank you! I have a great blog designing friend whom made my baby so pretty! 🙂

  24. Congrats on being featured! I have noticed that my book tastes have changed too since I have met so many other bloggers and started doing reviews. I have become a new adult junkie! I totally understand your pick with The Selection. I don’t know that it really grabbed my attention so much that I cared that it took a year for the the second book to come out. New Bloglovin follower 🙂

  25. Its so funny to see a book that you supposedly loved 3 years ago but that if you read today you know you’d hate! And nice to see I’m not the only one that didn’t totally swoon over The Selection 😉

  26. I haven’t read any of these, but I have Partials and The Selection on my TBR shelf. I’m interested to see what I think of them now.

Congrats on the feature and I’m a new Bloglovin follower.

    Happy Friday!

  27. Hi there! Congrats on being featured! Hmmm The Selection is on my TBR list… & I’ve heard from a lot of people that it’s pretty good but I guess not everyone is fan. I just got Shadow and Bone from the library and I’m excited to read it now that I’m finally on summer break!

  28. OHH!!!! Shadow and Bone is AMAZING!!!! I hope you loves it and The Selection! I just couldn’t get past the selfish child-like behavior, the horrible world building, and annoying characters. 🙁

  29. Noooooooo! Not Partials!…. lol, not that I can really cry, I have yet to read the book. But still, it saddens me. :p

Congrats on being a featured blogger, very exciting. I’m a new follower, following via Blog Lovin’. Here’s what I’ve broken up with:

    http://thatgirlreads.blogspot.com/2013/06/feature-follow-friday-5.html

  30. Most people LOVED Partials but it was just sooooo sloooooow! For a dystopian world with man made super soliders running around there sure wasn’t enough action for me! 🙁 But you may love it! And I hear book two is great. 🙂

  31. Congratulations on your feature! I love snicker doodles, too! 😀 I’ve heard a lot of bloggers say they weren’t too wild about The Selection. I think I’ll still give it a try, although my expectations are super low, lol.
