This week Jamie let us pick our own topics! Thank you!

Like most of you I re-read a lot of books, and while a re-read is nice nothing bets the excitement and shock of reading a great book for the 1st time. Which is why this week my Top Ten post is:

Top Ten Books I wish I Could Read for the 1st Time Again

  1. Omg, I love this topic! There are so many books I wish I could read for the first time again… but I actually haven’t read any of the ones on your list! And I actually have Written in Red, Sanctum, Anna Dressed in Blood, and Daughter of Smoke & Bone waiting on my bookshelf for me. SUPER excited to read those now. Awesome list!!

  2. Thank you! You have to (yes I’m demanding 😉 )push Written in Red, Sanctum and Daughter of Smoke and Bone to the top of your TBR list! Sanctum was my #1 read of 2012 and Daughter of Smoke and Bone was #2! And don’t even get me started on the greatness that is Written in Red!! AHH!

  3. Harry Potter would definitely be on my list if I made one…but I completely agree with Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Ashfall, and Anna! I’m actually almost finished listening to Anna now and I love it, but I really don’t like the narrator who sometimes makes me laugh at odd moments because of his voices. (One of the guys sounds like he’s 80).

  4. Ha you have a “clear eye dry eye” narrator?! That’s awesome! I’m so happy you love Anna so far! It’s seriously one of my favorite books!

  5. I pretty much never re-read books because, you’re right, you just can’t recapture the magic of a FIRST read. Plus, I’ve got so many new books to read that I don’t want to “waste” time on something I’ve already read. That being said, I would definitely love to re-read Harry Potter again for the first time. It’s also a series I really want to re-read (even though I never re-read), so that’s saying something.

    Happy TTT!

  6. I LOVE to re-read! Especially when I’m in a book slump., or suffering from a book hangover. I didn’t even think to add good old Harry Potter to my list though and I adored those books in middle school!

  7. What a great topic! There are so many books I wish I could do this with too! Harry Potter would be my obvious first choice 🙂 But I’ve only read one of the books on your list so now I have more to add to my TBR 🙂 Nice list.

  8. Your my 3rd Harry Potter mention! It’s a sign that I need to go buy the box set and re-read them ASAP! And I’m always happy to add to someones TBR list! 🙂
